Box Office: April 4 - 6, 2008
21 is still bringing ‘em in, which is surprising because it’s been out for several weeks. Nim’s Island really wasn’t that good in my opinion, so I’m shocked, SHOCKED! that it scored higher than Leatherheads. And frankly, I’m surprised Stop-Loss isn’t further up the chart. When I talked to Josh Seftel, director of War, Inc this weekend, he said he thought people didn’t want to go to a movie and get all depressed over the war. Maybe he’s right, and that’s why his war movie is funny. Believe me, I’m looking forward to it. Anyway, here’s the numbers from Box Office Mojo:
1-21 - $15.33M
2-Nim’s Island - $13.21M
3-Leatherheads - $12.68M
4-Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who - $9.11M
5-The Ruins - $8.00M
6-Superhero Movie - $5.41M
7-Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns - $3.41M
8-Drillbit Taylor - $8.40M
9-Shutter - $2.83M
10-10,000 B.C. - $2.79
11-Stop-Loss - $2.27
12-Under the Same Moon - $1.73M
