Catherine Hardwicke talks New Moon and Twilight: Director’s Notebook - VIDEO

Is Catherine Hardwicke bitter about not directing “New Moon”? Apparently not, at least not in this clip from the launch party of her book, “Twilight: Director’s Notebook.”
Hardwicke says that while she was attached to the series while directing “Twilight,” she appreciates the idea of new people like Chris Weitz coming in and directing other movies in the franchise, much like the “Harry Potter” series. Take a look:
HI CATHERINE I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I LOVED TWILIGHT AND I CANT WAIT TILL THE NEXT PART COMES OUT…
I loved twilight and i know it has to do with your vision as well as the script so kudos!
I like where the casting in New Moon has gone thus far. I would like to see an young unknown for Alec. Most of blogs push towards Alexander Conti as the unknown, I don’t know a lot about him but his resume looks really good. It may be because he’s Canadian, but he looks absolutely lovely. like an angel for sure what do you think? He must be talented he’s worked with great actors. I also like Freddie Highmore for the more well known actors of choice. I think it should read more true to the novel. Younger than the 4 or 5 choices. Beautiful actors just too old. I love your work!!
I’ll be watching your continuous success.
Carp Diem!!
