Edward Norton Clashes With Marvel over "The Incredible Hulk" Final Cut
Rumors are flying fast and furious that Edward Norton, star of the upcoming “Incredible Hulk” film, is clashing with Marvel over the movie’s final cut.
According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Norton signed on for the project under the stipulation that he could re-write the script and have major input on the film’s final cut.
Apparently, Norton has been in meetings with Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel, Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige, and director Louis Leterrier, all trying to reach an amicable resolution to the $150 million feud. Both sides are taking hits — Marvel for granting control in the first place and Norton for being picky about his projects final outcome.
“There is a very healthy exchange of ideas going on,” a source revealed. “Discussions now are even more heated, but some of Ed’s best movies have had this exact dynamic to them. Everyone’s in the process of figuring it out and working it out. But I expect it’ll all get resolved pretty quickly.”
The movie is set to hit theaters June 13, 2008. For more info, check out Gecko’s coverage of “The Incredible Hulk” trailer, movie stills, more movie stills, preview, and William Hurt’s interview.
