Film Gecko

Something a little different for you all this time around.  No particular movie, no celebrity casting mayhem, no studio wars…just some shopping!  The holiday season is creeping ever closer, as I was reminded by the decorations for sale in major department stores, and we all have that one impossible to buy for person on our list that gives us a migraine every year.

 

Well if they happen to be movie fans (but own every DVD under the sun), why not aim to surprise them with some Hollywood merchandise that doesn’t come on a disc?  I was pointed to a site called MoviePosters.com by an article that I can no longer remember, and went over there to check it out.  Disappointed that it couldn’t even find me any memorabilia for childhood favourite The Goonies, I noticed that MoviePosters.com is affiliated with AllPosters.com, a far more comprehensive site.  I’ve spent many an hour there drooling over the black and white picture collection, waiting for the time when I can afford to bring them all home with me.  AllPosters.com is pretty much a sure bet to have whatever you’re looking for.  In addition to Goonie posters, they also had some incredibly wonderful t-shirts that I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on.  They’ve greatly expanded their offerings in the movie area since the last time I went browsing there, and offer such fun things as magnets, t-shirts, posters, calendars and wall tapestries - yes, wall tapestries.
