Owen Wilson Suicide Attempt
One of my favorite comedic actors, Owen Wilson was hospitalized last night. I really hope he’s okay! OK news reports that there are rumors of an attempted suicide!
Super-hot actor and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Owen Wilson was hospitalized Aug. 26 in what has been reported as a shocking suicide attempt. The 38-year-old star was at his home in Santa Monica, CA when his older brother, writer Andrew Wilson, found him near-comatose from an overdose of pills, with superficial cuts to both wrists, the National Enquirer is reporting.
OK! can confirm that a 911 call was placed from Owen’s home at 11:59 AM. Paramedics then alerted the Santa Monica Police Department. "Officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded at 12:10 PM," Watch Commander Sgt. Steiner tells OK!, adding that "a person was transported from the 900 block of 23rd St. to a local hospital." Wilson lives on that block, which, coincidentally, is walking distance to St. John’s Health Center, where Wilson was initially taken.
By 4:15 PM, Wilson had been stabilized and was transferred by ambulance to the bigger Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, 20 minutes away.
A neighbor of Owen tells OK! that he’d seemed well recently and had just returned from a family trip to Colorado, but was also "up and down a lot" lately. OK! can also confirm that Andrew was joined by younger brother Luke at Cedars-Sinai, where Owen’s best friend, Wedding Crashers co-star Bradley Cooper, was also spotted entering.
In May, Owen ended his headline-making relationship with Kate Hudson, who he met on the set of their 2006 film You, Me and Dupree.
His next movie The Darjeeling Limited, which reunites him with his Royal Tenenbaums director and co-writer Wes Anderson is set to open The New York Film Festival on Sept. 28 before its wider release in November. Owen also recently signed on to star opposite Jennifer Aniston in Marley and Me, which is scheduled to start shooting late September.

Wow, I would have never suspected Owen Wilson as suicidale. I heard on the news yeaterday here in Australia and i was dead set gobsmacked! Man I hope he is all right. He really is quite a great actor. All the best to him.

The media attention surrounding Owen Wilson following his suicide attempt is disgusting. Actors are under so much pressure all the time from the media that it’s no surprise someone would crack like this. They need to back off and give him time to heal and recover, both physically and emotionally.
Not only are the media one of the reason Owen would have done this, but they are perpetuating and aggravating the situation by suffocating him in order to make a cheap buck.
After all, he’s just an ordinary guy like you and me. Cut the guy some slack, back off and give him time to recover.

OMG! i Lovee owen wilson. I started crying when i heard that news, cus to me he meens so much! He puts so much into huis acting, and i just really hope he knows That he is so amazing! Hes always going to be famous! even ina hundred years ppl will think of him as an ACTING LEGEND! this is such sad news! I love u owen!
