Rumer Willis Signs for "Sorority Row" - Want to be an Extra?
I recently saw Rumer Willis in The House Bunny, and she was one of the few things I liked about that movie. It’s always interesting to see how kids of big-time movie stars grow up, and Willis is clearly benefiting from the acting gene. And how cool would it be to have Bruce Willis for a dad?!
She just signed to star in the Stewart Hendler-directed remake, “Sorority House,” with Briana Evigan of Step Up 2 the Streets. Shooting begins Oct. 6 in Pittsburgh, Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger penning the script.
This is interesting: The film was originally going to be rated PG-13, but after the success of the R-rated Prom Night, Summit Entertainment decided to go that route with “Sorority,” too. I think that’s a good thing, because so often, PG-13 movies nudge towards an R rating anyway.
More after the jump…
“Summit changed their minds and we are full-steam ahead on the R-rated version,” Stolberg writes on his blog. “I can’t tell you what a relief this is from a creative sense. Everything is going back in. As I’ve mentioned before, we’re not out to make torture porn — and this still isn’t going to be an explicit exploitation picture — but it’s nice to be able to write a horror movie the way it should be.”
Want to be IN the movie? If you LIVE in Pittsburgh, the casting office is looking for extras (I don’t live in Pittsburgh, but I’d have to pass if I did). Click here for more details.
