Russell Crowe to Play a Werewolf?
Well, it wouldn’t be the worst casting decision on record. I can totally see Russell Crowe as a werewolf.
According to Bloody-Disgusting.com, Crowe is set to play a werewolf in a movie that will be directed by his pal Ridley Scott. Apparently, Ian Jeffers, who wrote both James Wans’ drama-thriller “Death Sentence” and Sylvain White’s upcoming adaptation of “Castlevania”, has sold an original script to director-producer Ridley Scott.
No other details were revealed, but it sounds like something to look forward to. And are werewolf movies the “in” thing now? We’ve got “The Wolfman” with Benicio Del Toro scheduled for release April 3, 2009. I guess they are.

Did you actually read the short article? Bloody Disgusting website said no such thing. Crowe is not attached to any werewolf film… nor is Ridley Scott attached to direct. It seems that there’s a rumor that Scott’s production company may be looking at a script, but that’s all.
A gossip service sent around exaggerated the Bloody Disgusting story, adding false info. Why? Who knows? But it’s not in the story you link.

Hey Sunny - My bad. I think that story came to me via RSS feed from my buddy Josh Tyler at Cinema Blend, who got it from WENN according to this story:

If it’s true, I agree with Josh. Crowe would make a gnarly werewolf.
