When my kids were little, one of our favorite books was “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” by Judi and Ron Barrett. I think I liked it probably more than the kids. Just the idea of having food raining down on you whenever you’re hungry is a pretty entertaining idea. Ok, my adult-self thinks it would get really messy, but my kid-self says bring it on!

The animated big screen version hits theaters Sept. 18, 2009, and features the voices of Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, James Caan, Tracy Morgan, and Mr. T. Yes, Mr. T! It’s directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who’ve done some episodes of “How I Met Your Mother” and other TV shows and a few movies.

The official site doesn’t give a lot of clues about the story, other than the raining-food part, but it still looks cute as all get out. And of course, on the site you’ll find fun downloads and games, like 3D Food Fight, Stump the Monkey, and Sticker Studio. Here’s the trailer playing in theaters right now:

I’ll say right off the bat that my kids liked "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" better than I did. I LOVED the first "Night at the Museum," and this sequel seems like a throw-away to capitalize on the first movie and showcase all the stuff in the Smithsonian. That said, there are a few things I like about it; namely, Amy Adams as the plucky Amelia Earhart.

Ben Stiller returns as Larry Daley, only instead of working as a night guard at the Museum of Natural History in New York City, he’s running a big corporation now and doing infomercials for all his products, like a glow-in-the-dark flashlight.

Here’s a new trailer for "Adventureland," the comedy starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg, in theaters March 27, 2009.

"Adventureland" hits theaters March 27, 2009, and it looks like a movie along the lines of "Juno." It’s from Greg Mottola, the same director who helmed "SuperBad," if that says anything. It’s based on his own experiences growing up on Long Island.

Set in the summer of 1987, it’s centered around a recent college grad (Jesse Eisenberg), who takes a nowhere job at a local amusement park, only to discover it’s the perfect thing to prepare him for the real world. Also stars Bill Hader, Ryan Reynolds, and "Twilight’s" Kristen Stewart. Watch the trailer here, and check out these clips below.
