Trailer and Teaser Poster for Brothers
July 13, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Toby Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Natalie Portman (who just signed for "Thor") have a new movie coming up called "Brothers."
It tells the story of two brothers (of course), Captain Sam Cahill (Maguire) and his younger brother Tommy (Gyllenhaal). They couldn’t be more different. Sam is a family man, married to Grace (Portman), and about to embark on his fourth tour of duty with the Marines. Tommy is a drifter who’s just been released from jail.
But when Sam’s Black Hawk helicopter is shot down, Tommy tries to fill in for his brother by taking care of Grace and her two young daughters, and the two develop an attraction to each other. The only hitch? Sam’s not dead. He returns home after being tortured by the Taliban, only to find he and Tommy’s roles completely reversed.
This promises to be a great film, not only because of the three actors, but also because of Jim Sheridan’s directing. His credits include "In America" and "In the Name of the Father."
"Brothers" opens in theaters Dec. 4, 2009. It’s rated R for language and some disturbing violent content. Here’s the trailer:
