Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Review

by Leora Israel Zellman on March 25th, 2007

Last night the husband and I went to see TMNT at 10 pm. We went to the late show hoping to not see it with little kids, but strangely there were still a lot of them there. There were some pretty horrible previews before the movie making us wonder what we got ourselves into. ***Note, if all the previews shown before a movie are really lame, chances are you’d be better off going to the lobby and exchanging your tickets.***

Luckily the movie was short and the graphics were really well done, but the movie was quite lame. I would say that it was a children’s movie and I shouldn’t have expected anything from it yet there was SO much gratuitous violence in it that I would never take a child to it. Also April O’Neil’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider ‘esque figure is something no young girl should be seeing. Her breasts were SO big and her waist nonexistent!

Bottom line, unless you were a huge Turtles fan in the 80s you probably shouldn’t waste your money or at least wait until it’s out on video.
