The Invention of Lying – Red Carpet premiere with Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner and Rob Lowe

September 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

The Invention of Lying takes place in a world where no one lies (hmmm, I’m not sure that would be such a good thing – those little white lies can soften the blow sometimes!).

Jennifer Garner says her character cannot tell a lie, which causes some problems when she gets hit on by the first guy in the world who CAN tell a lie, played by Ricky Gervais. She goes on to say that in real life, she’s a bad liar, “but a good exaggerater.”

The comedy also stars Jonah Hill, Louis C.K., Jeffrey Tambor, and Tina Fey. It’s rated PG-13 for language, including some sexual material and a drug reference, and opens in theaters Oct. 2, 2009. Check out ReelzChannel‘s video from the red carpet premiere, and click here for premiere pics.
