Underworld: Evolution Trailer
This one’s all dark. Dark, dark, dark and vinyl.
The trailer to Sony Pictures’ Underworld sees Kate Beckinsale return for another round as Selene in her continued streak of vampiric roles (try not to hold Van Helsing against her, it was just all around terrible). This time expect to see her clad in more shiny patent (including a most constricting looking corset), sporting bigger more flashy weapons, and negotiating the perils of a new relationship with Lycan lover Michael (Scott Speedman).
The entire movie seems to be shot in shades of black and blue, which is likely what the bad guys are going to look like once this toothy heroine gets rolling. There are shots during the historical play-up to the main story that make me think that orcs and the men of Osgilliath have been reconstitued in another, completely unrelated movie and combined with a Van Helsing style Dracula. Makes for an odd mental image, but on the whole I would expect much the same as the first movie, no better, and hopefully no worse.

Underworld: Evolution continues the saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric lycans (werewolves). The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines.
